Looking at buying one of these and it looks well made and will go nice with the rest of my internals, just a bit worries bout the brand and what happens if I have to RMA it, anyone had any experience with them??

Judging from the thread below:

It seems that Inno3D don't have a European RMA centre, so you'll probably have to wait 4 weeks to get it fixed, and possibly pay loads for shipping (as it likely gets sent to SE Asia). The 3 fan design itself might also be overkill for a 1060; a good single fan cooler can keep temps around 60c.

Personally, I would stick to EVGA/MSI/Gigabyte/KFA2 as they all have either UK or European RMA bases. I also think PNY have a French RMA base but I'm not sure.

There is plenty of card choices from the brands I've mentioned at the price you're looking for. However, not many look similar, apart from:

OCUK deals with the warranty I believe. The Inno3D coolers are dead quiet. It was almost pointless taking the one off my 1070 to stick a waterblock on it.

The cards linked above are the ones I'd go for if warranty is an issue. All of them do run quiet and cool aswell, similar to the Inno3d card. However, they have much better RMA terms and more well known customer service.

However, above those I would recommend the EVGA GTX 1060 SC (but it's out of stock).

The KAF2 only has a 2 year warranty....

Yes, but if it has to be returned the RMA centre is more local. I'd probably recommend that one the least of the 3 I linked.

I am not disputing RMA lead time may be a few days longer (Aircraft do fly to Hong Kong) but 12 months less warranty to save a few days is not a great recommendation if you are looking for long term reliability options.

I have owned two Inno3d cards and they were both great.

So are the other cards you have listed......

From what I've read, it's usually a 1 month turn around time for non-UK/EU RMA centers. This contrasts with the 1 week I've read from UK based centers. 3 weeks difference is a lot to me.

Unless told otherwise, I'm willing to bet OcUK accept the return then ship it off to Hong Kong, that's the address of Inno3D on there website, with this in mind expect 28+ days before you can take further action.

As far as I'm aware, RMA is via retailer only - no direct RMA.

That's how I understand it as well. If anything, sending it to OC would add time to the RMA, instead of just sending it direct. But I'm guessing you don't have to spend like £50 shipping it yourself.

That's how I understand it works so no expensive shipping fee's. I reckon OCUK tests it and if they find it faulty then sends it off to them. I really couldn't care less where it has to go to be honest as long as they honour the warranty. I am not one to write off a excellent product just because of where it has to go if it breaks. I guess I have been lucky with my components as I have never had a gpu fail on me.

I had a faulty XFX PSU, it was after the first year of warranty and Overclockers wont do anything. Thats why im a bit more careful about the RMA now. didnt help that XFX did everything they could not to deal with it

ordered the ichill, liked the silent cooling. now need to find a fan controller or software that will control my case fans to be off below a certain temp, any suggestions
