'Amazing' games that disappointed you

I'm primarily a PC gamer and could name quite a few of those, but here's a couple of console games:

-Mortal Kombat on the Gameboy, really repetitive / short, can't really get more than a few hours out of it
-Project Gotham Racing 4, just seemed pretty tame compared to PC racers, dull tracks, feels like the cars are not really attached to the road etc - basically it reminds me of what old arcade racers (as in genuine arcade units) used to be like in the 90s, but times have moved on

No Man's Sky.... So much hype.... So little delivered. This is the first time I've been duped into purchasing a game based on poor information. I was skeptical from the day it was announced. And I still purchased it lol.

Games are too expensive these days. Whatever happened to demos?!

Still somewhat enjoyable though.

Uncharted 4

I've not played the series but you could close your eyes press up and tap x and complete 90% of the game.

Fortunately, I bought it for £32 and sold it for £30.

While I agree that game demos have been gradually dieing out over the years, games aren't as expensive as they were. While the size of development teams and budgets have massively increased.

I paid £60 for Street Fighter II on the Mega Drive in 1993, which Is over £110 today allowing for inflation.

And that was an arcade port, not a game developed from scratch.

The Last of Us.

I get abuse for this all the time and it's quite possible I'm the only person on earth who doesn't like the game but I found the movement and combat very clunky and awkward.

Blasphemy!!!

People saying Ocarina of time as well? wtf? I find that incredible, it's one of the best games ever made. In fact, I think it's actually the highest rated game ever made? Horses for courses I guess.

Destiny was utter **** imo, was massively disappointed with that.

Gran Turismo 3 onwards. The first two were amazing though.

3 was a technical masterpiece for the time and 4 was more of the same but with a crazy amount of cars and tracks...

People saying TLoU I'm not sure how the controls were stopping you from enjoying it. The weapons have weight and feel suitable for what they are. I've done all of the single player trophies and all but two of the multiplayer ones, I've put a considerable amount of hours into it and I've never had a problem with the controls or the gameplay.

the original tomb raiders. could never get on with the controls.

the modern tomb raider though was excellent and one of the few games i have played from start to finish without getting bored.

Oh god, I've got quite a list...

All the Halo games, never liked them. I've tried multiple times to get into them, no can do.
Uncharted - I've only played the first but its a generic Tomb Raider clone with a few decent set pieces.
Bioshock - I should like this, I know I should, but I just can't get into it and will myself to get past the early stages.
Hard Rain - everybody raved about this when it came out, it was awful, I took it back within 24 hours.
