Phone call from CPW this morning, expecting them to say my phone is ready to collect - "sorry there's been a problem with your order and it will be difficult for us to give you your phone". Turns out on their system the upgrade "had been reversed", although everything mine/Vodafone's end was working fine. They wanted me to wait a couple of days for them to sort their system out before they would give me the phone but I was having none of it. Initially he suggested taking out another contract until they could sort the upgrade out and then cancelling the 2nd contract but in the end he just said **** it, he trusts me and handed over the handset and asked me to pop back in a couple of days to sort the upgrade situation out.
They didn't have the VR in stock yet although I'm a bit suspect about that - I got the feeling they held the VR back to make sure I came back in 2 days and didn't just cancel my upgrade with Vodafone and walked away with a free phone.
