AMD Fluid Motion "Enable 60fps Movies"

Personally, I like the look of the effect. Animations in particular look amazing.

For some reason though, since updating to windows 10 last week, the AMD fluid motion option isnt on the list under the custom settings section of the crimson driver. In fact, only a brightness slider is there. Is that just the windows 10 driver not having it available?

Thanks

I've got it in Win10, although I'm still using CCC.

Download this and enable it under the tweaks section then it'll show up:

I've just tried it out and must admit it feels very weird. I really like how it smoothes over scenes, like snapping action scenes or running over a backdrop. However in normal context (I tried to watch Schindlers List) felt amateurish, partly I blame upon the films themselves because they aren't meant to be watched this way, but action scenes I think are vastly improved.

Good points this will definitely depend on the type of movie.
Wouldn't want to watch Goodfellas at 60fps lol

I just found this and it is awesome. I have also used DmitriRender and SVP and this is more streamlined and quicker to load up and run than either.

However, it can't convert 25fps. To me that is a big gaping hole because a lot of stuff (especially PAL TV) is at 25 frames per second and Bluesky won't touch it whereas the other two will.

Glad you liked it, I use it on my 60hz TV and it seems perfectly fine to me. You tried making sure the TV isn't in film mode making it run at 25hz?

Off Topic Rubbish :p

No, my TV has its own interpolation built in. I am using this in MPC-HC on my PC so 25fps is the actual frame rate of the source media (Anything in PAL mainly) which it won't touch.

Which is a shame...so I have to set Dmitrirender to take over when this won't work.

If only there was a workaround or something.

Could someone help me set up Bluesky Frame Rate Converter Version 2.3.0 with MPC-HC x64? I can't get it working. I also don't get the Enable/Initialze AFM support in the BFRC settings.

Hardware:
Radeon RX 480
CPU if relevant Core i7 3770K

Can you take screenshot of your settings?

This isn't actually a good thing, if it's better for you then that's your own opinion and all that matters but anyone serious about movie viewing wouldn't use this for the reasons stated above. Soap opera effect is a common thing I see mentioned over on avforums.

Agreed :)
