My PC just shut off by its self. Ram LED's still lighting up though?

I wonder if it's my PSU? It is a Superflower 1000 watt. It's a great psu, but have heard some Superflowers have gone DOA after a year or 2?

My specs

I7 6700k
Gigabyte z170 gaming 7
Corsair vengeance LED ram
EVGA 1080 FTW

This has never happened before

Thinking of getting a new psu.

More information is needed - has it shut off just the once? Did it restart ok? Made any hardware changes recently? Overclocking?

Well I know the problem now. Dead GPU.

Thought I would do a few things first before spending money on new psu. I take out the GPU and it works fine. I put GPU back in nothing.

RMA time :(

Dead 1080 FTW?

Ahh man that's gonna a pain in the bottom to get sorted quick with them being so new, still on backorder etc. :(

Good luck.

Unfortunately it seems to be a common problem with these cards, read somewhere they were RMA'ing them all but can't find where I read it. THIS on the EVGA forum though...

I had the same issue with my original 1070 that had to be returned, I think it was the PSU though so am RMAing it next week. It was a Evga G2 Supernova 1000w so wasn't overloaded or anything!
