2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and International Friendlies ** Spoilers ** [31st August - 6th Septem

Why haven't we gone to 2 up front with Sturridge on for a defensive player now they are down to 10 men and a win would be a good start ? Just like for like subs at the moment.

It's what i was getting at earlier. Henderson repeatedly fed our forwards and got in behind their back line so he takes him off. Since then other then Alli trying to force it we've offered nothing.

Unlucky Lallana...lol Walcott

That's what I don't get either, that and having Rooney playing somewhere ( I have no idea what he's doing in this system now). Try changing the system, go more attacking. I can only think of a single time they have been in our half this half.

And unlucky Lallana, he is capable of doing stuff like that, just wish he would do it more often for both club and country.

Just as I type this Sturridge is coming on with 10 mins to go.... ( and I bet its for Kane)

Edit: And yep I'm right, so the same system that hasn't worked, 10 mins to go, opponents down to 10 men and lets not go to two up top. Sigh....

Walcott is just a joke of a player, so far in this game there was one long ball high, he went towards it, had plenty of time to adjust and attempt to jump before the defender, get in his face and maybe cause him to make a mistake... nope, he did that running beyond and looking back thing like, ahh... what could I possibly have done(that didn't include physical effort).

Then played in behind, awful first touch gave it straight away, didn't fancy fighting for that either. A ball trickling out of play, could easily have got to it but would have had to fight a Slovakian player to keep it in... doesn't bother. Then gifted a chance at an almost open goal.... manages to shoot it across the goal and actually slightly backwards instead. utter joke of a player.

Have only been watching from 60 mins but my god this is awful stuff. I know it's Allardyce's first game in charge but even so, it's the same insipid football and playing of favourites (Lallana?? Walcott??) that's plagued the national side for years.

Not sure Vardy would be any good here, no space behind with their whole team in their box. Sturridge can make something out of nothing in tight spaces.

Bet the first thing he says is that we kept a clean sheet away from home. Dream big.

He said before the game he'd take a point.

He will be loving it in the dressing room, when in reality he should be tearing them a new one for yet another **** performance.
