**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

I waited too long.. The 'black' version is out of stock on Top One and I doubt they will be having anymore in due to the note 4 release. Will keep an eye out though.

Some other suppliers, who folk on here have used, such as Honorbuy and geekbuying.com are still showing stock in EU warehouses though, if you still really want one!

Got to say zuk z2 pro does look a good phone but is so much more expensive than Xioami note 3 pro models. I just wish I had gone for snapdragon instead of mediatek as i cant get official global ROM for it and I get no updates as seller flashed a custom ROM on it. I'm not brave enough to flash the ROM myself as I can't afford to brick it. I just wish Xioami would look at making 800mhz 4g standard on their phones. It will put people off buying when on certain networks. Even 3 are now starting to use that frequency as well.

There is some stock available but only certain colours and 16gb models etc.

Got myself an old Samsung s5830 that im putting up with for a couple of months until they hopefully release the snapdragon note 4 pro :)

No, hadn't heard of it! Will have a go at :).

I don't think it's hardware unless it's memory related. I'm writing this on it right now :o

Nope, same issue!

Installed the TWRP stuff, wiped out anything it would allow and fastboot loaded miui 8 and it crashed filling in the basic details :(

I've had 3 Nubia phones and loved them all. It's probably the only Chinese phone I'd ever buy.

The new Z11 looks amazing but the only problem is they don't make an International version, so it lacks some of the LTE bands we use in the UK.

Just figured out it's hardware :( it happens when the phone moves funny or gets knocked :(.

Managed to replicate it a few times with a light slap to the back.

Whats the next best thing to come out of China then take it Redmi Note 4?

Anything decent coming for £200

I think the note 4 is the latest in that price bracket. I suspect a snap dragon global rom relesse will be appearing in a montn or so. My smart ultra 6 packec up so im using a v.v.old samsung until the note 4 is released with global.

Finally got round to ordering from Top One and I've gone for the Redmi 3x, it's got 2gb of ram and 32g storage.....

Nightmare, the handset arrived yesterday, 6 days after ordering, Redmi 3x box with a Redmi 3s inside  Also wrong colour as I'd gone for white/silver and the 3s that arrived is gold, IMEI numbers don't match on the box and handset (obviously), I guess whoever was changing it to international rom with play store had a few on the go and got mixed up. Someone, somewhere in the world has just opened their 3s box with my 3x inside.

Contacted the seller yesterday after opening the box and waiting for reply now, I've not marked the item received, I have until the 16th to raise a dispute and request money back, I'll see what they come up with...

oh dear... hence why i'd only ever buy factory sealed.

not sure whether to get the honor 8 or the note 4.

decisions!

If you don't mind EMUI then go for the Honor 8 although it is quite pricey this year. Failing that buy the Note 4 if it's cheaper.

im actually okay with emui :D (i know a lot of people around here don't like it) i had an honor 7 for a brief time, and it was good.

clove and amazon.de both have the honor in stock. amazon being slightly cheaper.

I went with top one due to the generally good feedback from here on the OC forums, I suppose the real test of how good a seller is, is when something goes wrong how well they sort it out, I've been looking at his bad feedback which in fairness can be from try before you buyers, dishonest people etc and it is not filling me with confidence, I'm already getting fed up not having heard anything from my query and it is what, just after 5pm in China now. Can see me raising a dispute real soon asking for a refund, the seller is also responsible for the cost of returning the item so I've got to find out how I'll be receiving that, like I say nightmare!

I suppose it is just another aspect to the "Chinese phones?" thread other than specs and roms etc...

I am sure they will sort it out mate, until you click received he does not get paid by ali express, so it's in his interest. If not raise a dispute I am sure it is just a mistake by some idiot putting it in the wrong box.

Really getting the itch for the ZUK Z2 Pro, especially as it has both Three 4G bands.

Only stockists I can find though are Oppomart, Gearbest, Banggood and GeekBuying.

Who are the best of that lot?

Banggood do delcare it as like a 20 quid MP3 player but don't guarantee no import duties so just be ready to pay them, and if you don't have to - great.

Also you'll have to flash your ROM cause their version is a bit dodgy.

Other than those two point my Redmi 3 Pro from them is completely awesome.
