Looking for advise on transferring internet to work shop 300 metres from router.

What is the best technology / product to use?

I don't think I can use powerline because they on different bills. I can't use 3g for internet either because there is no signal on any network.

Thanks for any help

So reading them links it seems product to get is Ubiquiti NanoStation m2 loco

From what I can see it will cost about £45 does that sound right or am I missing some.

Thanks

So I just need ethernet both ends what would be the wireless equipment would you recommend?

If I got 2x of the m2 loco would it be easy to setup?

Is there something more simple that would give me ethernet both ends?

Oh and I measured distance and its more like 150m

You can buy fibre pre-terminated (and that's the only practical diy option). At that length you're looking at several hundred Pounds.

You've then got to have a physical route organised. You've not described the environment so that's guess work. The physical route will have an impact on the fibre cost.

You've then got to have hardware at both ends of the fibre to convert to/from copper. That's easily going to add another £100 to the cost.

If you can do it with line of sight wireless and can live with the bandwidth restrictions that's the option to go with.

Cabled a care home s few years ago with a long run required to a second comes room. We ran a telephone cable about 200m and used two back to back modems.

Yes bandwidth isnt an issue dont need fast speeds it's just for security system mainly.

It has clear line of site.

I will get 2 of them nano loco m2 then.

Thanks everyone

Fibre link ran between both buildings, can get it on a drum with the ends already terminated just requires a rather big hole being drilled to fit it through.

Last run we bought was around 200m.
