first holiday abroad in 10+ years...where to go ?

Go to America and see the eclipse.
Was just going to reply with Tenerife.
Stay on the south side and past playa up towards Costa adeje.
Have a look at prices now and link a few. Perhaps I'll take a look tomorrow.
Water park I've never been to. Our kid is 4, so a bit young I think. Will go again soon and take him for sure. It is meant to be amazing.
What was you per head ?
I would also be tempted to go all inclusive...most places are doing it...and it does work out cheaper. Hardly spend when we go away, few beers in some local bars maybe and a restaurant once or twice...but thats it.
Also Tenerife has Tiede volcano...plus you can visit Masca.

Just me and my daughter.
We went to Albuferia in Portugal this year, 2 adults and a 2yr old. £900 all inclusive 5* hotel.
Look for Portugal beautiful country, never been before, much prefer it to Spain, less chavs
