OCUK RWYB Drag Meet - Saturday September 17th - Santa Pod Raceway

That'd be good. Originally I was going to drive down Friday and stay overnight but I'm on dog watching duty so I'll setting off at about 04:30 in the morning!
 
Meeting points is a good plan,.

Just over two weeks to go.

Tesco @ NN8 2EF is reasonably close with a ~7 mile backroad run into poddington
 
Thought you'd know of the best place!

I used to meet at Watford Gap services I think..? But that was still quite far out from Pod. Made a great convoy though.

Watford Gap isn't a bad idea, but it does mean that it limits the meet point to those really only travelling South

Give fairly close meet points that most people will be passing, or doesn't mean they aren't driving too far past Pod itself even if coming from the A14 end of the A45
 
I will be travelling down from the Midlands, so I'll be on the M1 going southbound. If anyone wants to meet at a services let me know.
 
Hi there

The M3 is out, new differential is in the car and needs to be ran in for 500 miles that has to consist of short run to the shops type trips.

So I shall be bringing the Mustang, I shall also see if my mates with Whipple equipped Mustangs wish to come along as well. :)

Of course if it is raining then I shall be a no show.
 
That's fair enough Gibbo. Unless forecast to pee it down all day I'll still be attending as I want at least a couple of runs before I start modding.

If the weathers good I'll be there, already agreed to work the Sunday instead. Be a Nice journey with the roof down. Somebody's got to bring up the rear with the slowest car right?

I live north of Hinckley so think I'll probably be getting on the A5 straight to the M1. There's a few serices on the way down so probably organise meeting at one of them. I see there's a few people travelling southbound, Havana etc?

the weather will deffo be a problem, because you'll only know if it's worth going very early sat morning..........when i was younger Drag race meetings were always cancelled if it rained and it doesn't have to rain much either.

it looks like roughly a 3 hour drive, fingers crossed that it doesn't rain
