Circumstances force a move and I'm looking at hitting a few birds with one stone. I've wanted to move out of London for a while and now I've got the chance to do so.
Criteria:
max 1:15 by train to City of London. Can be Liverpool Street, Cannon Street, Bank, etc.
Must be NORTH of London as I have many friends in the Midlands, so moving closer to them would be a bonus.
Not a dive. I lived for years in a crap area and I can afford something decent-ish (to rent, not buy) so I'm looking for a nice area.
A few other random thoughts (these may or many not help, this is just me jotting stuff down as well).
My wife and I currently pay about £1800 with bills for a 2bed flat in London. As this will be mine only, I'm looking at about £600 for a one bed flat, but can go higher depending on various factors like whether bills are included or not. The reason I mention money is because it needs to be financially viable with a travel card taken in to account.
I will start commuting by scooter at some point which will make the travel card redundant and a scooter is much, much cheaper than trains.
Not sure what else really, let's see the best you can come up with
