Any Netatmo Thermostat users here?

Well, I think I have my answer now. No thanks to Netatmo support.
There seems to be two ways to wire it in. As a direction replacement to a thermostat, or directly into the boiler.
All I was trying to understand was is the outcome any different for these two approaches? ie: If you connected it to the boiler would it also control hour hot water production timing?
Asked this question on Amazon today, and got the answer back from other buys, it's simply heating that's controlled, no matter how you install it.
Why their support team couldn't managed that over our five emails so far I have no idea. I've even had to sent them picture so boilers, thermostats, wiring...
Joke TBH!
Anyway, do you concur? Heating only?
