let me guess "slow down your trying to hard to impress and come across as a total **** " .

Edit: sorry IC3 just pulling your plonker i come across as grumpy some times ;)

I don't get offended so easily. ;)

It was "Keep the front wheel down yeah, there's police around the corner." :p He was cool about it, didn't moan at me.

Edit: I don't rev my bike and considering it was a massive meet there's loads of police. But my baffle is back in, so its not as noisy as it use to be. The back pressure helped with the down low torque though.

Probably not far from the truth knowing IC3 :p ;)

Oi! :p

Decided to take my car to work this morning, mid way through Aylesbury watched a poor chap on a sportbike get rear-ended a few cars behind me by someone paying no attention. Somehow he stayed upright, but she hit him hard enough to snap the tail tidy clean off and shunt him 15ft! Had a nice chat at least, offered him some cable ties and my details as a witness - wherever you are Neil, hope you have recovered from the shakes :)

Anyone ever ridden any of the old 2 stroke spots bikes?

Like an NSR250R?

I have been looking at the suzuki rgv250

it looks fun

This may or may not be an issue though:

20mm is a fair drop I know it's not advised to drop the SV as you mess up the geometry. Plenty still do though and are happily riding around with lower dog bones.

I've just read it's got a seat adjuster built in, I could maybe try a Thinner seat first.

Do that first, plus it'll take a bit of time to get used to it. I presume you're 'vertically challenged'? :p:D

Can you not walk into the gate rather than sitting on it? Or ride it in, practice those tight filtering skills :D

I'm 5ft 11" but the Nuda has a seat height of 870mm so in the higher % of seat heights!

Who owns husqvarna now? There's no dealers near me I don't think, might have to get into ktm or bmw.

Ahh that's still short by my standards :D I've sat on a KTM 990 Adventure R which has a 915 or 920mm seat height and could still flat foot it once the suspension compressed with my weight.

KTM own them now, hence the Husky 701SM which has a KTM 690 motor.

There is one in Atherstone, 50 minutes away.

I got my 701 from Frasers of Gloucester (http://www.frasersmotorcycles.co.uk/) they're fairly new as an husqvarna dealer, so I'm not sure how clued up on the Nuda they'd be.

It might be worth getting in touch with GH Motorcycles if you need advice. They really know their stuff. They're the guys who sorted out my new akra baffle, and seem to have been selling husky for a long time. The're sadly too far to visit (Colchester) but are more than happy to chat.
