actually the side control panel would be good by itself for non farming games?

It is meant to be a very solid controller and yes, the side panel can be used perfectly for other games.

I believe Saitek are supposed to be selling the side control panel seperately at some point later in the year?

If I buy this before article 50 is invoked, will I be entitled to large CAP subsidies for growing nothing ? And will I be able to drive around in a Mercedes with at least one more and a Porche parked in the yard whilst constantly grumbling about poverty and being hard done by?

This and you can have a swimming pool and tennis court all the meanwhile complaining about never having any money (true story bro)

My Mrs works for the RPA - She says no... not unless you're one of the rich oil sheikhs or mining magnates that actually own most of the land.
You might get a teeny tiny subsidy if you're a small, independent farmer with a few hectares of your own land, struggling to stay afloat amidst the sea of foreign owners, but that's about it... Chances are you'll have a bad Winter and end up being forced to sell everything anyway.

Given how cheaply you can get some Porsches and Mercs (we got one for £550), I suspect this will be pretty feasible... But then, if you're a farmer, why aren't you in a Land Rover?

You know what, that side panel might be useful for elite dangerous alongside my x55

That stick, would be ace for directional movement when landing I'm thinking.

That's what I keep thinking.
However, I think there's a limit on how much you can have on your controller(s) that the game will recognise.
I have it in mind that you can only have up to 8 axes and 36 buttons...? Any more than that and the game won't recognise it.

However... you might get away with mapping keyboard keys to it, which could give you an additional, say, 56 buttons, which would then become 390 if you made use of CTRL, ALT + Shift combinations...

I assume this wouldn't conflict with the X55 control/driver/software/whatever, although users of other brand devices might have issues.
