I would say if you are high enough light level jump straight in to Kings Fall as it will give drops that are actually useful as the old raids will drop much lower light level gear. Any Kings Fall gear will also help set you up for Rise of Iron DLC is you're getting it.

Of the older raids, Vault of Glass is still the best raid in the game, even being massively over-levelled as we are nowadays it is still a challenge. Crota's End is alright and for completeness I would say so do it once but it isn't a particularly good raid.

Being new to Kings Fall or trying to do older raids you may struggle if you try to use places like LFG. However if you post up in here you may be able to get a group together. Player numbers at the moment are a little low however with the new DLC around the corner numbers are increasing and should peak again come release of the DLC.

From a pure gear perspective it is current King's Fall as that can actually drop stuff which is usable for "end game" activities. EDIT: Just see your Titan is 335. The drops will be good infusion fuel for either other characters or other gear in this case. :)

However from a pure fun point of view it has to be Vault of Glass.

Crota's End is a laugh simply because of how easy it is to cheese the whole damn thing... :D (note - actually killing Crota on HM pre HoW was a pain the *** though)


Mrs and I decided to try a "no death" challenge on the Xbone last night. Both of us managed to get as far as the Devil's Lair strike before promptly dying to the Walker (Mrs) and boss - drop ship phase (me). That went well..... :p

I was reminded again at just how hard the early strikes are when you don't have decent gear. Sepik's prime takes forever to kill with the weapons you have at level 8 (especially when the third guy drops out before the walker).

No death challenge on the main story (basically trying to go from level 1-40 without dying).

Crota you can solo if you really want to but the others are designed for 6 people working together.
 
I really should do another kings fall, done it twice on normal mode ages ago so if anyone ends up doing a normal run count me in.

Actually before posting this I checked my titans lvl and he's sat at 328 so would that be enough for a hard mode run. Is there much difference in hard and normal (game mechanics wise)?

I shuold hopefully be on to give the BF beta a go finally but I wouldn't mind doing a raid also so if you need a nother send me an invite :)

328 is plenty high enough to do hard mode. There are a few minor changes in HM but nothing major like yellow bar knights instead of red or an extra mechanic at bosses but nothing hard. So if you have done normal before then you shouldn't have any trouble doing hard.

Is anyone able to help me complete the 'Strength of the Pack' achievement on the Xbox One please? Its the one where you have to complete a strike with only your clan members as a full fireteam.

Nice one, should get a couple of good drops from a hard mode.

It would have to be any other night but tonight for me though so if you end up not doing it tonight or do another tomorrow or in the week I'm down for it. Could get my moments done then as well.
 
So, managed to get my final calcified fragment last night and now have completed my year 2 moments of triumph.

Having also done the year 1 MOT I'm a happy bunny.

I also saved our Oryx HM checkpoint if anybody on Xbox is MOT hunting and wants the checkpoint.
