How do you fit gym in to your day?

I go to bed an hour earlier so i can get up an hour earlier. No need for a university degree for that maths :)

When I was a student I used to fit 2 sessions in a day an the gym was a 25 minute walk from my house.

unless you are studying 12 hours a day you are just being lazy

how many hours a day are you actually at uni or doing uni work?

I Get up at 5:30 get to the gym for 5:45
leave gym get to work for 8
finish work at 5
get home for half 5
cook dinner
then I have all evening from half 6 ish to do whatever I want

Everyone I know that has been or is at uni, has a ridiculous amount of free time, and wastes it watching TV or going out and getting ****ed and still get good grades

I have a gym literally a 1 minute walk from the flat, and my gf and I force eachother to go every Mon/Wed/Fri evening.

When I'm actually at the gym, I find some stomping uplifting trance works wonders for any cardio activities :D

At uni I used to go after I'd revised/done the days work (only tended to do around 5 hours a day max). Should only really be an issue maybe around finals exams.

At work, I work 8till 5ish and go to the gym afterwards (right near my office).

Im not seeing what the issue is OP? Is your gym nearby?

I work 08:00-16:00 and work is 10 minutes from home so I go after work. I beat the post work rush so can normally be home by 6pm. Life does sometimes get in the way though but usually I make it three times a week. If I had another job that was say 09:00-17:00 and was further afield then I would possibly have to rethink things.

In uni was the time I was most able to go to the gym!

Exactly! I've never had so much free time as when I was in uni.

Nowadays, I get back from work at just gone 6pm, have to walk the dog, do an hours on the weights or go climbing, then half an hour or so rowing. After that I sort breakfast for the next day and finally get around to cooking tea at about 9pm. Batching and prepping on a Sunday helps as I get all my dinners made for the week and my breakfasts mixed up ready.

Also getting a rack and weights at home has definitely helped as it cuts down travelling to and from the gym. I'm going to start getting up when the missus gets up in the mornings too so I can get my rowing done then before I walk the dog.

You're at university - it doesn't get any easier! Just go between lectures. Wait until you have a job. I go each lunchtime btw. Late in the day and I struggle to find the motivation and super early just sucks balls :)

Get up earlier. The gym is so much better in the morning than in the evening as it's way less busy. I need to get up even earlier though!

If you're in London get a bike. You'll then be at the gym in under 10 minutes and save money on the tube.

Don't waste time traveling to a gym. Run or cycle from home and do body weight exercises/ stretch cord exercises at home.

Do a CV work out in the morning before going to work. This saves time showering, changing and preparing. It also guarantees the exercise gets done without work interfering.

Go to bed an hour earlier, wake up an hour earlier for your exercise. Cut out watching TV or other useless time wasters.

Have a working lunch.

You need discipline to get it done. If you want to do it you'll get up earlier to fit it in. If you can't manage it now how on earth are you going to do it when you are older with far greater time commitments. You're posting on here for a start there's some time right there etc.

Get home from work around half 5 then wait for the missus to get in, try really hard not to lay down, instead I'll get changed into my gym gear, sort my stuff out for the next morning, make a shake and eat a banana, usually get into the gym around 6:30 - 45 and back out around an hour later. Its about a 7 minute drive so not far.

Its a grind and some (most) days all I want to do is jump straight in the shower and into my pj's but you have to tell yourself that you have to go!! its always fine once you get there and I'm always glad I went, tell yourself that!

Set a routine and stick to it like glue. Freefaller gets up at the ungodly hour of 5:30 to do a session. Your only option may be to join a "Health Club", just remember not to slam weights down and wipe up the weight bench after

One day I am actually a little worried that my hurriedly put down on deadlifts may actually leave me and the bar sat in the changing rooms below :D

Make your new PB quest to be able to deadlift a weight so heavy that you will indeed crash through, and kill whoever is below you :D
