PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

Every game will be different to begin with. Remember we now have this system for another few years. It could be that as the dust settles, devs will see on Twitter/forums, etc. that users want a nice 60fps and will evolve to having a 60fps mode and a 4K mode. They can always patch things to improve framerates as time goes on and the dev tools get more optimized.

Of course, but you could also argue that say a GTX 970 could pretty consistently knock out 1080/60 for most games on high settings. I know this isn't a vs PC discussion, I just think that before throwing the 4K buzzword around, the PS4 should have absolutely nailed 1080/60. Done deal. Checked the box.

Many planes and trains have WiFi though nowadays, what sort of journey are people taking where they don't have access to the internet and are going through more than 16GB of locally stored content?

Many not all - and I specifically said Underground /tube not trains as wifi isnt available underground :)

Also nothing illegal (and there are a lot of security concious people around after all the hacking of information in the press) but I would never choose to connect to a public wifi anywhere unless really urgently

My tidal database is 50GB on its own

Apparently parts wise it would have cost $15 dollars to include.

Source please as I highly doubt thats even close.

Last year panasonic were quoted as saying a UHD drive was 2 - 3 times the cost of a standard BR drive

I'm going to sit tight and hang fire to see what MS offer in terms of price and spec. Utter shambles for Sony not to include a 4K disc drive. I was rather underwhelmed with what I saw last night.

I think it's down to both keeping the cost down, and timeline. They absolutely had to get Neo out for this Christmas, at a 'big seller' price point. It's possible they just couldn't get the parts in volume in time.

As someone who watches films on ITV2 in standard definition, I'm finding it hilarious watching all these people getting their knickers twisted over the lack of UHD playback. :D
