Guy does 170mph in Teeside - put the vid on Youtube and got arrested - Genius!!!

The bikers that got done near me got something like 180 days of bans between them (there was 4-5 of them). That was all. No jail time or criminal record. They keep the bikes.

They also gave a short ban to some random driver who was cheering them on. Not sure what that was meant to achieve.

As a biker I agree with you, at that speed any car driver would have a hard time even seeing the bike let alone judging the speed. If a bike does that speed where there is the possibility of cars pulling out then I struggle to have sympathy for them.
I do speed but always try do it where there is minimal risk and if I crashed at that speed I think regardless of the circumstances I hold some of the blame.

Am reminded of this one.

The driver making that turn really could not have seen that coming!

:(

oh dear how horrible........... he was going far too fast to steer out of the way or slow down, he screamed NO..... he would have been thrown a massive distance.........maybe 50ft and his body totally shattered on impact, that video is very disturbing.

I know that video without even watching. Absolutely horrible. I don't condone what speed he was doing, but incidentally IIRC the driver was charged with a driving offence (can't remember which ATM) as they'd have caused a collision even if the bike had been doing the speed limit.

Judging by the speed he passed the car prior to the accident, I think at the very least he'd have been able to take evasive action had he been doing the posted limit.

The car driver was certainly in the wrong but nowhere near as much imo as the biker who paid dearly for driving way too fast...

Lets hope they crush the bike and he gets something like 12 months in prison.

Perhaps he'll have a better think next time!

I never understand crushing it though, why not sell it? I hate seeing awesome bikes and cars being trashed, they could even give it away to someone that needs one and will be sensible.

the car is still moving after he screams and it's moving quite fast, the driver does not hit his brakes at all, it's right over blocking his lane......the bike couldn't avoid the collision, the car driver doesn't see him at all, maybe only in the last 10ft, so yes he's to blame as well.

the car driver's mistake is all too common, because you see idiots like this every day in Hampshire, esp at roundabouts and esp driving Hyundai i20s, the white ones................ that car is driven by OAPs suffering from Dementia, i get road rage every time i see one within 30ft of me.

Seems idiots are on the rise with filming themselves.

Watched another video on FB with two idiots in Birmingham i think driving like complete knobs and video it also.

In my experience, round here, its Honda Jazz's that fall into that category! :p

it's both cars m8.............there's far more Hyundais around here because the main dealer is in Milford-on-sea  and it's a much cheaper car 2nd hand with only 7k miles than a Jazz...... the Jazz is a miles better car anyway, that Hyundai is only 1.1 litre and it really isn't safe on the road..... the build quality is very cheap and nasty

he wants to be very careful doing that, because there are some very dangerous people around that suffer from extreme road rage........because eventually that retard will have to stop and wait at traffic lights......... you can imagine what happens next

Hopefully broken legs.

I think it's the 'ownership' concept.

If you take a criminals car, and he/she knows it still exists, they're likely not to be beyond using violence and/or threats to regain said car, which the new owner won't be very happy about either.

If you crush it, you're removing any potential for that, and at the same time it does hopefully send a slight message when it's some heavily souped-up pride and joy type car... yet still has no insurance and is being driven dangerously while disqualified.

But it's OK because the cars will be registered to their auntie's cousin's girlfriend's brother's mate who that day happened to lend them to his niece's business partner who then lent it to Sharif and, what are the chances, he's just gone back to Pakistan so it's not going to be very easy to find him. :p

That's pretty much how such people get away with it.
