But that's not what they did. They said areas with majority populations. Which, from crime stats is accurate.

Why doesn't the guide say to avoid area with lots of Chinese people?
Dunno what it's like in china but the chinese imports who bunch up in communities don't really make much trouble.

Chinese really isn't a written language compatible with the modern age. Any time that a new word is invented, everyone has to update their font files. Perhaps the font used by the magazine didn't include the right symbols?
I had a similar problem when I wrote a periodic table app for iPad. The names of the newest elements weren't included in the font files we were using.

Just walked into subway for my lunch break and a guy just came in asking to use the toilet and they employee behind the desk said no its employees only and asks him to go to the pub opposite and the guy stormed out saying "oh you black *******". The employee was Iranian haha.

Aha you know it man. I work in Lozells in west Birmingham and have witnessed many a similar situation.
It's the implication that the crime stats are high because of the ethnicity of the population which is considered racist. Any Chinese tourist who takes this advice at face value could well draw a conclusion that Indians/Pakistanis/Black people are inherently more likely to commit crimes, which I think most people would agree is an ignorant position to take.
