If they don't collect the "faulty" device, will they contact you in the future for the return?

Even if they send a new one out and then brick the old one, as it may be nice to keep it for nostalgia. One day I may be able to look back at this device (and the suitcase) and laugh....

I've even turned it off to charge and still quite warm

Maybe a little more then before on wireless charge but feels less than the Note 5. It now won't be changed until the battery gets low. Was it downloading at the time?

Rebooted it couple of times seems to have sorted it for now

Is there no Wi-Fi calling as standard on the simfree phone ?

It's not on there but I use the TU GO app for O2, your provider might have an app. There is always WhatsApp your friends have it loaded.

Vodafone do WiFi but it wants me to open advanced phone settings ..we don't have that on the Note 7 ..they refer to the S7 Edge

having a look around xda looks like Samsung have not added it in Note 7 :(

No not asked for return yet.. No one home to hand it over this week

Try the phone app -> settings and the setting should be at the bottom. If it's not there then it is up to your provider to support it. I'm on EE.
 
Wonder when I will get mine, ordered weeks ago and I got another email finally from Vodafone today to say nothing heard from manufacturer yet we will contact again within 10-15 days with update.. How long do I have to wait? Strongly considering cancelling
 
I think Samsung have done something. Either that or the person on support I have been emailing has decided to ruin my week.

I'm working away this week, and stopped at the services to grab a coffee. At this point I noticed that my phone was off, and when booting the device, it no longer accepts my pin. I've re-booted it several times and tried the pin several times - and I now have 6 attempts left before the phone gets factory defaulted...

Just in case, I've gone and frozen anything Samsung related in Titanium.

I got my Note 7 direct from Samsung, no problems logging in here, I even rebooted my phone this morning and had to input my pin rather than using biometric login methods.
 
Having factory defaulted and attempted to restore, 90% through and phone reboots and is now asking for a password..........

3 more attempts and the device will be wiped again....

I've seen that several people have been experiencing this online....

Anybody recommend an alternative to Samsung? :mad:
