MPs call for medical cannabis to be made legal

All the while the tories destroy the BBC, the NHS and make sure that they will never lose to labour ever again.

Yep, weed is priority.

To be fair, the weed will help to take people's minds off the destruction of the BBC and the NHS.

Whilst I'm not surprised, I bet you know loads of people who smoke cannabis and are perfectly normal, hold down jobs, don't sign on, definitely go outside etc. Your perspective is very limited.

I'm sure, but people generally don't advertise that they smoke weed so It's hard to see beyond the examples I see with my own eyes.

I know a few people like that on alcohol as well...

So do I, I'm not going to defend alcohol.

It should probably be illegal as well.

I can't even walk around town without smelling it as people walk past so it might as well be made legal.

I don't like the idea of calling it "medical" cannabis.

How long before they cotton on to the things to say to the GP, for it to be dispensed? A bit like some people can show up at the GP with a "bad back" and get prescription pain relief or those that stub their toe and get a 7 day sick note.

As soon as we're paying for their weed, the number of users will skyrocket. No thanks.

***REMOVED***It helps me a lot with leg and back pain, was born with club feet and now have back problems with stretched tendons, followed by 2 bones fused together in my spine, i think the main problems are pressure from pharmaceutical businesses, and the fact once its legal, people can more than likely be able to grow it themselves, and the fat cats don't like that, they want people to continue to purchase their crap drugs that are probably mostly a placebo anyway, doctors these days see you and just prescribe drugs and they get paid, using something natural, that does its job better loses them money.

In certain cases, i do believe it is a massive help, most people think its a bad drug, and a gateway to others, its bull, if you have the want to try drugs you will try them, iv not done any other drugs, and i still function fine, some people do spiral out of control and waste their lives away, and i will agree 100% if it is made legal, there must be a valid reason for it, rather than "oh i just cant sleep", actual physical pain, in my opinion is a reason to give it to those in need, and tell the other lot who just want it to get high to get lost

I'm all for it as long as it's in tablet form so no one else around them has to put up with the stench !
Pill form would be synthetic, which means it destroys kidneys and livers, and keeps the body in an acidic state (cancers) just like the rest of western medicine.
The natural oils should be extracted and digested, just as it was before the 1930s when Dupont campaigned to make it illegal because it was damaging to their business.

No government has any right to stop us from using it and classing it as a "drug", and by doing so they are stripping us of (one of) our freedoms and natural born rights to life.

This is the 3rd thread I think i've seen in a month on this subject, admittedly I don't mind but the discussion is always the same. It's not a secret cannabis can help and used correctly has far more positive side effects than bad but the Home Office won't even discuss it. they have ignored overwhelming medical evidence at every stage. Cannabis trials have been around for years but I still can't see it becoming legal for medical use in the next 5 years as the Home Office has just refused to discuss and issued a blatant no with no progress in the last 10-15 year so we as a country are no further forward towards legalising it.

There's no combustion in growing, but damn that stinks!

Say what?

I don't think you understand what cancer is nor how the body maintains it's pH level.

just like the rest of western medicine.

WTF

Foil hats on lads.

Err, yes they do.

There's no reason why it shouldn't be legal. Far less harmful than alcohol, actually has health benefits for people with chronic pain and illness and if it were legal it could be properly regulated. The government would make a tidy sum from taxing it too.
