My phone looks to be officially bricked.

Keeps booting into the boot loader menu with:

dm-verity verification failed...
Need to check DRK first...

None of the options look to work...

That's a warranty issue then not recall .. demand a new 1 asap

Wasn't the recall announced on the 2nd of September? So that would mean either that batch was confirmed as safe or they had opened up unsold units and done a battery swap

Recall was announced but they may have known about problems but not how wide spread battery problem was

Someone probably hid the problems till was to late with the phones going out

Imagine the amount of cancellations if it had'nt been released

My exchange is planned for Friday. My issue is that I'm working away all week and no longer have a phone.

Samsung are being their usual helpful selves and simply don't give a monkeys.

Not heard a thing from cpw since initial text

Same here. I ordered online from them, went in today to the store I collected from. The utterly disinterested looks up from her nails to say that she thinks they may be able to take my phone for exchange, but probably won't provide a replacement until November at the earliest.

Reported that Samsung are working on an OTA update to limit charge to 60% on phones which are being recalled. This appears to be for the Korean market:

For those that have received their replacements, when did you receive the email confirmation of the new order?

I've not had mine as yet?

And just to keep the case whinging going the below is the latest from Samsung:

"While the case can house most phones, based on its description, it is intended to house not only the phone itself, but any accessories and alternative items you may see fit, too. Bear in mind, such a case can be very handy for traveling purposes as well."

Who carries their phone round in an accessories case when travelling? And it still isn't a Note 7 case. Where does it say "Note 7"?

I was called Thursday night @ 20:30 ish

I do find it odd that I seem to be the only one who has been told that it is just the handset and not the box, charger etc.

Lets face the facts we've not exactly had consistent messages from Samsung

Yup, black onyx, 950-something of the 1000.

Having looked back at the posts, it was Carmen that took my call too and said it would be box for box. Someone must have updated her knowledge base docs
