I just heard on the grapevine this is going to be announced on the 4th, no article, heard from a source and wanted to know if you've heard of it?

First I heard of this.

Only thing I can think of is someone getting mixed up with the Pixel phones, which while being built by HTC, is controlled by Google.

I'm not sure to believe it, but had a google and there was a rumour last year until they sold motorola

If true the HTC brand will be gone, it has little value and Google have their own brand.

Not sure I believe it though.

I'd be surprised. They sold Motorola, unless they realised that was a mistake and want to get back in.

motorola and htc are different with different patents, but yeah would be an odd purchase

brother who works pretty high up in a mobile company, but he's not very reliable, although he did say about pixel a few months ago
