Of course it's a downgrade, but for average salary workers with other commitments, I don't think it's a £1000 worth of downgrade.
I'm not saying that because I can't afford a PC either. I could quite easily add a couple of hundred to what I'm spending on the PS4 pro and get a card capable of 4K, but I just don't think it's worth it. The 4K video from Sony showing off games like Spider-Man and Watchdogs 2 looks fantastic. I really don't need much better and I'm quite frankly very pleased at what they have managed to do for £350.
I can't get my head around all the hate.
UC4 looks alright but nothing over Tomb Raider on PCI don't think it was inferior just not worth the extra cost and not used to its fullest potential.
I like consoles and pc I just think U/C 4 looks fantastic and has fantastic attention to detail. I'm sure it would look just as good on PC if it was released but that's not going to happen.

Quick one, do we know if the PS4 Pro will output higher than 60 FPS (ignoring settings)?
Any news on if the HDD is up-gradable in the Pro?
Yes Sony have said it's user replaceable same as PS4 Slim.
Can I be a pain?link?
Does the LG 55uh950v do 'proper' hdr?
Seems to support multiple - hdr10 and dolby.

It looks like a stonking set but I doubt it will be able to do proper HDR as its an edge lit LCD set. It will be able to take a HDR signal and show it to the best of its capabilities as HDR but you may not see a big difference, especially once the image is in motion and with dark scenes with bright spots i.e. a constellation of stars.
What you need is a higher end (read: expensive) zone lit LCD panel or an OLED.
This is part of the problem with the marketing of HDR, its a massive step up (i think its better than the jump to 4k) but you may not 'see' HDR working its magic without a specific type of display.
Also, you might want to check you panels LG support of HDR using gaming modes, I know LG owners for the OLED panels are waiting for a firmware update to enable HDR with gaming mode.

I keep looking at 10 bit HDR panels, but I really need to reign myself in until a 49" 4K OLED comes down to the £1000-1200 mark. God knows how long that will take though.
