Are you an honest person?

I would do the same as you in all of the above, but I actually disagree with you about "most people wouldn't". I think most people would. We watch the news or we go online, and we get the impression that the world is nothing but self-serving and hate. But actually there are good people everywhere, and I believe the majority. It may not seem so, but often stupid people are the most vocal and bad people get the most press coverage. The rest of us just get on with life and do the best we can. "Good" is mostly a way of classing how wide the net of "us" we cast is. Do we say "us" is just ourselves or just our family? Do we say "us" is our neighbourhood or our religion? Do we say "us" is our species. The wider "us" is cast, the more it generally equates to being a good person. The tighter we draw the boundary line of "them", the worse we tend to be. You treated strangers as you would a friend. That's good.

IMO the number of people that are genuinely sincere and honest and not just for appearances is a lot less than the majority. People have done those tests like leaving a few wallets lying around a town with money and a business card all over the world and usually comes back at only around 1/3rd make any effort to return the wallet.

With something identifiable, like a wallet or letter, I would give it back. If I just found a bundle of cash, I would keep it.

Thats basically my stance too... Though I'm a bit of a kleptomaniac to be honest, anything not personally identifiable is fair game. Especially if you leave your door unlocked!

(im kidding)

If i find a wallet, i would pocket the cash and put everything else in the bin.

That is the correct thing to do.

If i loose my wallet, it is MY FAULT, and i will accept the responsibility of that.

The loss of the wallet, cash, and having to replace the cards is my punishment, for lack of attention, for my mistake.

FYI i lost my wallet once, i paid for 2 pints at a bar, and then just left my wallet on the bar while taking drinks back to the table. I was drunk, and that is absolutely no excuse for stupid behavior.

Of course if you drop something i would tell you, unless i am in a bad mood, in which case i'll ignore it completely.

If there was photo ID in the purse, then the likelihood of me returning it depends first on how hot she is, and secondly on if her title is miss or mrs

But to answer your question, no

Why is it that I'm a moral person when it comes to things like this in real life, yet I'm a filthy kleptomaniac when I play RPGs? :o

Lol I am too. If it's not nailed down - it's mine. Even if I have enough money/credits/whatever to buy whatever I want.

Because there is no risk when playing RPG's. If you **** it up badly by stealing something, you re-load.

There are also no repercussions. After you leave with the stolen goods, you're guaranteed to be in the clear forever.

Yeah **** anyone who might be say having a bad day because they just heard that someone in their family is at death's door and their mind is otherwise preoccupied, etc.

I still feel guilty about it in games though. Very odd! :D
