Hi,

I am off to Croatia, Dubrovnik soon for a weeks holiday. Apart from the Game of throne walking tours around the city. I have noticed there is a Buggy safari tour at the top of the cable car ?

Has any one been on this tour as I am hoping to use my GoPro to get some off road footage.

Also I am hoping to;

Go Snorkelling around the coast
Day trip to Havr, rent a scooter for the day
Boat trip to Kotor in Montenegro
Boat Cruise along the coast
Day trip to Mljet National Park

Any one got any other suggestions for places to visit ?

What local bars in Dubrovnik are good for some night life ! ?

Many thanks

T

A week is probably a bit too long in Dubrovnik itself. It's a small city. Most of the bars and nightlife is on Bourbon street. Split is probably better for nightlife though.

Still, I'm sure you'll have a ball.

Tourist season will be winding down a bit but the weather should still be really nice, you’ll really enjoy it, although as has been said, it is quite a small city.

Probably a bit too far (2 hours via coach) but if you do get a chance I would highly recommend a day trip to Mostar - it is really worth it. I’ve posted about the city before so just run a search.

You could easily do a couple of days in Montenegro. Went there for a week in June and was really nice, won't be busy at this time of year but might also mean a few of the shops and restaurants will be closed.

A Montenegro tour that takes you to Kotor and Cetinje is a good day trip. You'll go up the serpentine road from Kotor to Cetinje with it's hairpin bends and spectacular views of the Kotor fjord. There are other interesting things to see as well.

It is, but it's a long long way from Dubrovnik, and you'd want a minimum of 2-3 hours to walk around it.

That being said, the road on the way there is great too.

It will probably take you at least five hours to get there so going to be a hell of a long day trip.

When I went to Dubrovnik for a relaxed week I spent 4 days on Lopud, an island just off the coast and 3 days in Dubrovnik. I didn't get up to much, as the point of the trip was to chill out, but I'd echo what the others have said - Dubrovnik is a lot like venice - you can see it all in a couple of days. You need to be filling up your time with other things to do.

My bad, thought Dubrovnik was further north! Yeah... That's a bit of a mission!

The Plitvice Lakes national park , the parks waterfalls do look amazing. Dubrovnik is too far West and South to get there. As this Park was on my list of places to visit in Croatia, oh well perhaps another time
