*** The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Thread ***

So it seems Samsungs attempt to 'beat' Apple led to them trying to shove a too big battery in a too small hole - only Samsung could try and put a square peg in a round hole. Blatant disregard for their customers safety aside - why does everything Samsung always come back to something Apple? Will they never learn.

Bungling the recall of something so serious is inexcusable.

When I had the phone call from Samsung arranging a replacement (16th October as that's the first weekday I have off) and I asked that if at any point up until that date, could I get a refund and the lady said I could.

So I'm weighing up the OnePlus 3 and new Pixel phones when they get announced.

Cheers

Cheers, got it sorted today. No questions asked - they cancelled the replacement and advised me to pop everything in the Royal Mail bag.

I wouldn't take any more chances with Samsung's issues, from battery to bricking. They apparently rushed it too much.

I'm not in a hurry any more and will wait for the Pixel phones and make up my mind then, hoping they are not as ugly as the leaked photos :)

Has anyone who purchased from CPW exchanged yet? I don't want a temporary device, I just want to do a straight swap, but assume there is no stock as of yet.

No not taken it back yet, would rather swap like for like rather than an interim loan. Flying from Belfast into Birmingham tomorrow first thing too, it better behave itself!

Seriously starting to get bored of waiting, communication from Vodafone been very poor!!
I have zero idea of when I will receive the phone I had preordered ages ago and never got mine on release day.

They have even had the cheek to bill me for it this month when I haven't received or used the new contract?
