Close. Turns out there was a shoot out. 2 officers injured, and the suspect shot in the arm. Thats one for the forums... shot in the ARM!!!
 
lol, by all accounts this dude was a dumb ass of the highest order. Caught sleeping outside a bar... mobile phones found with devices linked to him, left finger prints on devices...

Grade A, clued up dude!

Oh completely, my point was that as much physical damage can be done with things that are far easier to come by or make.

You'd think given the anti-West and anti-Capitalism vibes they'd also want to cause a bit of monetary damage too.

As per the guy that got caught, I just don't think they're the brightest sparks in the pressure cooker.

Tbf that whole issue is a tricky one, with some states havung every other man and his dog armed, and stuff like this going on, i'd want to be armed too. At least here the gun related incidents are so few and far between its not a danger you feel the need to protect against.

The problem is that reasoning is far too simplistic and easily shown to be wrong form simple statistics. You are much more liekly to be shot with your won gun than anyone else, you are most likely to be shot by a family member or friend than a 3rd party, being in possession of a gun is more liekly to increase your chances of being shot.
 
Interesting one really the police mugshot as in this thread he has a beard, in the picture above he has a beard in the Guardian's coverage an hour ago when I saw it - no beard. Hmmm.

Not gonna go into details but one of the common forms of explosives used in some recent attacks is really easy to obtain the materials for - most people have them around the house already - though producing the explosive material from them is another matter.

As an aside Mythbusters accidentally came on a way (which was previously unknown) to make a variant of it that is incredibly powerful :S
 
I guess they have finally linked it to an act of deliberate terror then in the name of radical Islam looking at the BBC site

Glad they got one alive

I suggest you don't go on Twitter any more. Or try counting how many characters that post was to give some insight into why he used 'Thru' and dropped the 'the'.

Again, not a problem for anyone else but this guy is potentially going to be in charge of the most powerful country in the world so some better grammar when making a formal comment on a serious situation would be pretty good!

Going by the simplicity of his devices and him being the most hunted man in the US yet rather than hiding he was found asleep outside of a bar I reckon the only feasible piece of intel. they'll gain from this clown is "Rubber dinghy rapids, Bro. Fast track."
