Hair Gel and headphone users

i have a pair of astro a50's and im not sure if it's supposed to but i take of the headband every now and then to clean off my hair gel. But is their a better way to handle it i was thinking just using electrical tape or something and wrap it around the headband then just use a cloth to wipe it down every now and then instead since every time i clean it now i use washing liquid since it's a fabric material and it just soaks up the hair gel. How do you handle it? bit of a weird topic haha

I use L'Oreal Invisi hold #6 never had any issues with it and headphones.

That's one way guess i should stop eating as well while im at it so i don't get any food on my teeth.

Try and use a different hair product

Try a product thats putty? It's got the same feel as gel but it gives a better finish.

I find fiber paste works better with some hair types than others - I swapped to invisi hold gel as some days putty/paste just didn't work at all :S

I'm in my 40's and stuck in the 80's/90's and I still wear gel but, only when I'm on a night out or the like.

Maybe only wear gel when you're going out as opposed to a night in gaming?
