REM quite famously liked indian food, but they'd never had a Korma until visiting Birmingham. Upon tasting and enjoying the sweet almondy dish, Michael Stipe was heard to say "That's me in the Korma" - it's believed he himself was referencing a famous quote dating back to an assassination attempt on the Jazz musician Fats Waller: upon scouting out the venue, and failing to find the piano maestro, the would-be assassin queried the barman on his whereabouts. The barman's "Fats be in the corner" response went down in legend after the hatchet man turned on his heel, tripped on the wet floor, and shot himself in the throat.

Don't Fall on Me, Stand. I remember having a curry once that left me like I was Night Swimming. Proper Bang and Blame. The next morning I certainly wasn't At My Most Beautiful, I literally had to Find the River.
