1150 Air Coolers on 1151 chipset?

1151, 1150, 1155 and 1156 coolers are all 100% interchangeable.
So any should work no problem!

212 used to be a good value cooler .. not any more. There are many as good or better coolers for same or less money.

Are you trying to say the EreBoss and Matterhorn will not mount onto a LGA 1151 socket?
While I have not personally used EreBoss or Matterhorn on a Skylake, I have heard nothing to indicated they are not compatable .. and I'm sure if they were not I would have heard about it. I have mounted many other LGA 1150, 1155 & 1156 mounting kitted coolers on my 6700K (LGA 1151) .. CPU is same height and has same 75mm spacing, the same mount as LGA 1150, 1155 & 1156.
I don't know either, but why say 212 will fit when you have already made it clear in your post. 212 is what? £29.99 and EreBoss is £27.95-29.99 depending on fan with Matterhorn a couple quid more .. and both cool significantly better and with less noise.I don't think thats what he was saying.
