Credit to Smith for lasting as long as he did but you could tell from the first bell that he couldn't win that fight. Canelo was like a bull - so much stronger and more powerful than Smith. I know Brook didn't last as long as Smith did tonight but the difference in size and strength today seemed far greater than between Brook and GGG.

There's no reason for GGG to fight him now. Canelo decided to vacate the belt and drop a weight rather than face him so BJS and Jacobs are the obvious choices before he moves up a division.

Sounds like his dad has well and truly ruined his career as no ones going to want to promote him anymore

Brook in many ways exposed GGG to the fact that he is there to be hit and to be out boxed. Opponents now seem a lot more open to fighting Golovkin but who knows, it could all be talk.

....

Seen a few people say this sort of thing the problem is people don't get the opportunity to outbox GGG. They don't see the rounds threw and Brooks was no different. Took a shot to the face, not even full on, and finished with a fractured eye socket. 36 fights and only 3 made it to a decision. 12 rounds trying to avoid those shots is a big ask.

His name sells tickets so they'll put up with him. Warren's said 100 times that he won't work with him again and yet he bid and won the purse bid for this fight.

Eddie Hearn said the same 8-9 months back and then he re-signed him.

So er, last time it was postponed he claimed he had an ankle injury when it turned out the doping authority had banned him from fighting, that was lifted pending a review,

I wonder what he's broken this time......... "medically unfit" my arse.

I absolutely cannot stand him, him and his dad "John Fury" must be the two worst people in sport, in the world... I hope he gets banned for doping and has to pay his winnings back, he's a ghastly awful stain.

Can't say I'm surprised. Last month Klitschko annonced he was taking legal action against Fury, accusing him of trying to change details of the contract they had signed (trying to get out of the rematch?) and yesterday I saw an interview with Hearn and he was certain the fight wouldn't happen.

You've got to wonder why he doesn't want to take the fight. Is the doping saga stopping him from taking the fight?
