North Seattle mass shooting, at least 4 dead

It's sad that this is so common over there. Mental teenagers who think the world is out to get them.

:(

When will this stop?

Americans need to wake up to the reality - widespread gun ownership leads to more gun crime.

If several shootings at schools wont make america ban guns probably nothing will, it's probably always innocent people who get killed/injured not the people advocating gun ownership.

Wow, their "2nd amendment" has a lot to answer for. I feel like it's it's all spiralling out of control almost with so many incidents with Law enforcement and these events happening so often too :(

Hate the federal government and intervention, don't care about their right to privacy but no, the smallest steps towards gun control - that's too far! RIP to those killed.

Not sure if its been confirmed but the weapon involved seems to be a lower power hunting rifle as it legally owned by 1000s in the UK - yet you don't see people here shooting up malls (or the equivalent)...

You say that as if they aren't aware.

When will the British wake up to the reality - Widespread car ownership leads to more car crime.

We know, it sucks, but it's a reality of life.

We know.

Strangely enough UK legal gun ownership has increased significantly over the last few years while firearm related incidents have decreased (though there are other factors to that) but as I've always said there is much more to it than just causality of proliferation.

I bet like most other mall shootings, gun were banned at this mall as well.

And yet the most hilarious and at the same time, most pathetic thing about it all is that still fear Muslims over crazy lunatic Americans running around with guns killing people just because they can.

What a truly messed up country America is.

Are these shootings actually more frequent / worse than previous years (i.e. when stuff like this wasn't really covered in global news), or is it just because it's all over the media / in the public eye that people are now worried and outraged?

Holding steady at about 1 a day

Massacres have been on the rise since the late 1980s. Household ownership of firearms has decreased.

Yes but that includes drug dealers shooting each other. The amount of massacres is far less.
