OMG!! Most amazing Bluetooth headphones!!!

Bluetooth headphones - I take it it's the DAC in the headphones that are doing all the processing so it should sound the same no matter the DAP?

That's correct, although if the headphones can make use of Apt-X, then you'll likely get better sound if you use a DAP that also has Apt-X compared to one that doesn't.

Thanks. My devices support APT-X which I believe make a considerable difference.

The thing that confuses me is that if the headphone DAC is found ALL the processing then how come you can still change the sound sig through the equaliser in the DAP.

2 times the price from me.

Knowing what the Philips x2 sound like i prefer these sq wise.

I think he nightrider1470 has the mk802 on an amp where is sounds good whereas the hd 800 is picky about the amp to sound good.

Or blue tooth which is unamped.

In fear of continuing on a reddit meme,

THE K612 PRO's are "basically" HD800's :D although the K612's do measure astonishingly well and offer great value for money sometimes the hype and craziness in the headphone world baffles me.

There are 3 pairs of Elears for sale on Headfi, Seems rather high for such a hyped headphone imo. Hope it's not a sign.

Any questions...fire away.

25% OFF WITH STUDSPG25 on 1more website bringing them down to £97.50.

Not worth buying from Aliexpress at that price.

The Elear's measure very well up until the treble which seems to just ruin the flow of the headphone. I've not heard them but trustworthy impressions all point towards that and the measurements confirm it.

Reddit is utter ridiculous sometimes those stupid tinny Philips headphones are all the rage.

That's tempting although If someone feels like they could be without them for a few days I'd rather review them and compare them to my headphones to see if they really do sound like they are 123456 times the price...I have no problem saying they suck if they do regardless of peoples feelings ;) haha

After a couple days of listening I really like the MK802's, build quality is good, good SQ and solid bass give a fun sound, great for upbeat tracks. Not exceptional for vocal led songs but not bad either.

Worse thing about these is that they become painful to wear after 45 mins because they're not fully circumaural. For this reason they may have to go back.

The SHP9500? To be fair that forum is 90% American and they go for as little as $60 there vs the £110 they are usually here.

At £110 they dont seem to be worth it. Have you ever tried them?

Have you tried stretching them? When I got my momentum on ears they were really uncomfortable, literally 30 minutes and I was done. However I knew that going in and was told to stretch them around some books. Of course don't overdo it cause they still need to stay on your head.

The clamping force I find is ok, but it's the fact that the cups don't fully clear my ears are the problem. It catches the top on the ear and squashes it. The cups are just too damn small, I really like the sound which is a shame.

Yeah I thought they sounded pretty bad personally. I've seen people say hey are close to the HD6XX...

I love that these have a 3 way bass switch on the headphone - for those tracks that need that extra kick. So quick and easy and alters the sound just right.

I've just got these headphones after all the praise they get but I have a question I can't seem to find an answer for. How long do they take to charge so I can use the bluetooth features?
Also is the burn in through the app essential? 12 hour burn in seems a lot? Do you need to have songs on your phone to burn in or do I click burn in and let it do its thing :)

You don't really need to burn in, mine sounds great with minimal burn in. Just did a few hours. The app uses noise tones for burn in.

As long it has some charge you can listen straight away.

Cool I'll give it a few hours burn in too. All I can hear when I click burn in is just static noise, doesn't seem to be varying tones?

Not sure tbh I just left it be. I listened to tracks straight away and then burned in later.

As it sounds good anyway is wouldn't worry with burn in via app. Just do it naturally.

I'll do just that and enjoy the headphones. From the few songs I've listened to the quality seems very good through my Samsung s7 edge. Thanks :).
