Core i7 7700K Geekbench 4 benchmark leaked

^^ Actually I spent some time at Intel's manufacturing plant and overclocking lab in Hillsbro Oregon US recently working on all this stuff on the new platform.

I cant talk about these things at all because of the contract between myself and Intel and also Intel and OCUK. I have double NDA because I am working at development level as well as user / reviewer level.

Also I cant discuss proposed launch schedules, road maps and so on. This is also confidential information.

Thanks for clarifying :)

40% increase is doubtful. A overclocked 6700k @4.5ghz can reach that score. Don't think I'll upgrade my skylake 6700k just yet. Another disappointment from Intel.

Intel have no competition, so they can get away with 5% speed bumps every year or so.

If, and that's a big IF, Zen brings competition, Intel have an arsenal of technology ready to unleash upon us (next gen memory, mainstream 6, 8 cores) to name just a few.

Just Trust me the info bro, nobody will know.

Hmm do I chuck one of these in my current setup (Easy upgrade) Or hold out for Zen? Not known for my patience when it comes to upgrades :P

Looks like I will grab a i7 7700K at launch :p

Can't you just create a 2nd profile and leak it out. No one will know :)

yep , i'm holding out for a 7700k to replace my 3770k. I can't wait any longer for the golden chalice. :D

Not a bad idea but if you can make it to a cannon lake it would be even better!

And I've just today ordered a 6700k to upgrade my 3770K (4.5GHz).

Damn!

Good news is that their will be plenty of 3770k on the MM if I ever decide to buy one!

I'm guessing clock for clock it will only be 3%-5% faster than Skylake, I'm more interested in how Zen goes, not because I want to buy one but just to see how much of an improvement it is for AMD.

Thought I might as well drop this in here.

The Core i7-7700K is not due for release until January 2017 but one of our users has submitted benchmarks for it already. We only have one sample so these benchmark results are obviously preliminary. Comparing the 7700K and 6700K shows that average effective speed is up by an impressive 14%. 5% of the increase is accounted for by an increase in the Turbo clock from 4.2 to 4.4 GHz. This would imply that Kaby Lake has an IPC improvement of around 9% over Skylake (preliminary). Although official prices are not yet available, the i7-7700K is likely to cost around $360 which would be in line with the last few generations of flagship i7 releases. We will revisit this summary when we have more samples.

They reckon Jan 2017
