The girlfriend has dictated that having DVD/BDs on display in the lounge does not look nice  :p Considering we rarely watch them thanks to Amazon Prime and Netflix etc., I'm looking for some storage we can put them in that will fit under the bed. I've seen some Evelots bags which fit the bill, but they are shipped from the US.

Does anyone know of anything similar in a high street shop? See-through would be ideal so you can just yank the whole lot out and see what you have there.

Thanks.

I had this problem as I disliked having DVD cases taking up so much room so I got myself a DVD folder and put all my disks in them and throw the cases into recycling, the artworks I kept in a folder so if ever I want to have a look at them I can.

If you have limited editions that you like to keep then do so but with all the bog standard ones I just put away.

If you store them under the bed, anyone who sees the cases will assume that you've got a very large porn collection.

People actually have pron DVDs still? Isn't that what the interwebs is for? :p

These are the ones I like, I'm sure somebody else must make them? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Evelots-Bl...476106596&sr=1-1&keywords=evelots+dvd+storage

EDIT: I don't think those big crates would work. They look a bit high (yes it's a regular bed in our spare room, not a divan) and not specific to DVD/BD storage.

i'd go for the cheap option and put them in any old cardboard boxes. Who's going to see them under the bed anyway!

I do still have boxes full of Region 1 DVD's that I can't be bothered to sell, but I boot-saled most of my Region 2 collection, and music magpied the few I had left.

I had 1000+ at one point. Spent a small fortune on them in the late 90's-mid 2000's

Lucky to get £0.50 each for them now.

Ask yourself if you're ever going to use them again. I sat down and thought about the last time I actually watched a physical disk. Between Netflix, Amazon and Kodi I realised I had access to everything I wanted with zero storage space so got shot of the lot. Even steelbooks etc as they just sat there collecting dust and never got watched. It's very liberating. Even more so if you do the same with CDs.
Underbeds are like the attic. Things go there to be forgotten about.

Sell them, they are almost worthless and take up space.

Are you realistically going to retrieve them from under the bed to watch them?
I live in a small flat so going from the lounge to the spare bedroom to get them isn't that much of a hassle. We're only talking 80-odd disks at the moment, we moved recently so I had a massive cull and barely have any DVDs - they are all Blurays that I do want to keep. I get a number every month free from work so firstly they are quite often new films I haven't seen yet, and secondly it would be bad form to sell them. :)
