**** The Official Google Nexus 6P Thread ****

What price is this going for at present? Looking for stock (since the Pixels are way to $$), but stock seems to have dried up of late!

Reckon I'll be sticking with mine for a while yet. Had it almost a year and still nothing else out there tempting me to ditch it. Maybe the pixel 2 will tick the boxes...

my thoughts too. perhaps then the high price might be worth it for all the extras, however the 6P is still a fantastic phone. if they released it today i'd still consider it high end.

Mines a bit sluggish with Nougat :( Well tbh it has its days where it can be either super quick in use or sluggish, even after a reboot. I'm also still raging that the slow-mo video recording bug is still present because I lost an important recording last weekend.

Still love the phone though but I find myself staring at the S7E or OP3 a lot lately. Especially since I bought my wife the latter recently.

I'm considering selling my Graphite 32GB. It's not been used more than a few weeks, although bought in the first week of launch I think. I was hoping around £275. It might go on the MM in the next couple of days, if I get round to it.

Ah cheers, am tempted to sell my 64GB graphite. Still not 100% sure on the S7E though....

Kinda want a Pixel XL now. :o

Anyone had any charging issues with their 6P?

Plugged mine in to charge last night and nothing happened, then the battery icon would flash between charging and not charging. Tried the charger and cable from my daughter's 5X and it charged fine but slowly. Restarted the phone, tried my charger again and it charged (rapidly) as normal.

Hopefully it was a one off and not the start of regular problem!

EDIT:

Seems like it is a common issue, and restarting the phone solves *most* occurrences.

It is. It happened to mine over the summer and I contacted Google (despite warranty being with CPW). I was told to switch it off, enter the boot menu, then restart the phone again, and all was rosy.

Apparently that boot menu step isn't necessary, but it sorted mine as it hadn't occurred to me to restart as I never suspected that it might be the software and not the charger, as as you said it continues to charge through a slow cable and charger.

It's not happened since though. :)

Ahh, that's good to know that it hasn't re-occurred for you. I honestly thought the charger was broken until it worked fine after restarting.

Well 7.1.1 has cured any weird laggy moments I had with my 6P. The phone is now the smoothest it has ever been in use, with 'ok' SoT's of 4-5hrs. The only real issue is the odd crashy app, and YouTube just crashing almost every other time seeing as it is next to useless.

Nexus stopped working last night, just keeps looping through the white google logo screen and restarting. None of the boot menu options do anything so having to return it to google and they are kindly sending me a new phone before I return this one. The problem is mine has a small crack in the corner of the screen which I can live with but I'm told they are going to charge me for this even though it's not what caused the problem and I'm happy to live with it, worse still they cant tell me how much the bill will be I just have to get the new phone and cross my fingers :-/

Important things to keep in mind:

After receiving your replacement, please return your item using the attached RMA within 14 calendar days.

This is a warranty repair for a phone that has been rattling around in my pocket for 12 months not sure how they expect it to be in as new condition...
