King's College London considers banning national anthem after student officer links it to 'far-Right

I'm not Welsh, but their anthem often sends shivers down my spine, by far the best of the British Isles bunch imo.
 
It has the advantage of brevity and can be sung by those without an ounce of singing ability. I feel it has solidity missing from many anthems.

Anyway who are these "far-right" we keep hearing of? It seems to be a hugely devalued term applied to anything the "progressive left" dislike.
 
Ban it? No. But i wouldn't be opposed to officially changing it to something that doesn't reference god considering i don't agree with religion in general.
 
This is a non story really. The College should have politely informed this man that the national anthem is not far right in any way and that we can all see through his pathetic and thinly disguised agenda.

You don't think it's news worthy that our educational institutions are being pressured to surrender British culture in order to make way for the precious sensibilities of third worlders?

But they're not. Some random Muslim has made some idiotic noises, and the university has ignored him.

Exactly, there's no "pressure" here.

If I can equate it to something, The college literally didn't consider changing anything, in the same way that your posts here don't make the OCUK store change anything that they do.

I think we should be more like America, they have flags everywhere, they're proud of their military and it's considered offensive not to sing the national anthem. Say what you want about them but they've got a fantastic Patriotic spirit. Our country is becoming a weak pathetic hippy infested embarrassment.
