Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

GT86 wheels are still too small for the body shape around the arches. Needs an inch larger wheel to suit.

No changes to the engine/exhaust, the US market got an extra 5bhp but it was too tight to pass Euro 6 engine requirements. Once it's left Toyota it's not that hard to have some exhaust changes done and a remap to release 10-20bhp. The quality of the materials inside have improved though.

Would really love it to be a sub 7 second car at the very least. Most small hot hatches are faster in standard guise and a lot cheaper. I know that's not what they're about but it's hard to ignore, especially looking the way it does.

Facelift looks worse.

That is why I went for a Fiesta ST instead after looking at GT86s, I'm guessing a lot of other people did as well. The GT86 was a LOT more expensive and quite a bit slower. There's really nothing on it that justifies the £25k+ price tag. Yea it's RWD and handles quite well, but so is an MX-5.

Not really a daily encounter, but since we don't have a "daily classified encounter" thread I thought i'd post this in here

Browsing PH classifieds the other day dreaming how I'd spend last nights £150 million jackpot i stumbled upon this.

Not really sure where to post this so im putting it here. Had a walk around the Mercedes F1 engine factory today. Unfortunately they take your phone off you so I could take an pictured of all the cool things they have in there including the insane amount of silverware placed everywhere as they had run out of places to put them.

So here is the worlds greatest image of the sign with the new building being built behind where the R&D for their new super car will be done once it's finished.

If this post is messed up I've done it on my phone so blame it.

JLR have absolutely lost it in my opinion when it comes to interior finish and electronics. That F pace looks bloody awful, the infotainment screen, the instrument binnacle especially just look incredibly cheap and obviously Chinese sourced. The exterior styling I think is good and modern looking (bar my personal hatred of black wheels!). I just can't stand how cheap modern JLR interiors look.

A real shame as an old Range Rover fan to see how things are going.
