I've already has a word with Samsung and have an S7 Edge replacement coming on Thursday. They will be refunding the difference. You can choose a full refund. They are also now considering what to do for people who bought accessories.
Why do you need an SD card slot these days? With photos and music residing in the cloud what's the point of them? So many of the apps can't be moved there in any event as many OEMs aren't supporting this.

I'm not sure I can remember the last time I put an SD card in a phone. Even when it had a slot!
I'm happy operating mainly from the cloud, hence I quite like the idea of free full sized storage. I understand it's only from the Pixel, which is a shame, but fair I guess.
As has been said, I've never felt the need for waterproof either. The main thing I will miss is wireless charging, but I do like the ease of USB Type-C, so that softens is a little bit.
Spoke to Samsung UK again... no deals or anything offered to customers. Options are to return for a full refund or get another phone and they will refund the different (ie S7 Edge on their website for £639 so I would get £100 back).
I also asked about the accessories I had bought and they said that if they were bought from Samsung then they could be returned for a refund but for anything the senior people are discussing how to handle it.

Are you taking the Edge?
My case supplier will only give a refund if it is within 14 days of purchase or not been used. So waiting for Samsung now.
My word what fantastic service from EE.
Dad's Note 7 is getting exchanged for an iPhone 7+ 128GB
Wife's Note 7 exchanged for a Pixel XL 128GB when it launches. S7E in the meantime as a loaner.
Exchange goes down tomorrow.
Superb!
Not possibly, but definitely paid by Google
I can't see any Note owner moving to the Pixel XL. It might have Android 7.1, but that is the only "spec" plus point. Everything else on the Galaxy is better, and appeals to the kind of buyer looking to buy a Note in the first place.

I also don't get how the full sized storage is even a thing tbh, Flickr offer 1tb of free space for full sized photo's / videos with direct and automatic upload and I can do that from the absolutely cheapest of phones.
Was that a straight swap or are you having to pay the difference?
No extra charges.
Hi Daniel, Samsung has been investigating quality issues with the Galaxy Note7 and for the benefit of consumers safety, has permanently stopped sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note7 and permanently stopped production of the device. Please power down your handset immediately and return it to your nearest Carphone Warehouse store - even if you have recently exchanged your Note7 for a new device. You'll be offered a full refund, or can have a chat to our team about choosing another device.
