Help choosing 4770K cooler please!

Hey there guys.

I'm building a PC for my brother, with a 4770k in it.

Which cooler is best to keep it cool at stock speeds, and is nice and quiet?
I don't think we'll ever overclock this chip.

AIO watercooling is nice and fancy but I know it's not necessary at this level. Which coolers are quiet for 4770k?

I recently had a hyper EVO 212 that was really quiet and cooled rather well at only £29

what case are you using? does it have good airflow?
Ive got mine running 24/7 at 4.4 without any problems on air.

NZXT S340; superb airflow.

Remember it takes a 160mm tall cpu cooler!

Thanks all. I went for the Coolermaster 212X after some good recommendations. It should be quiet as anything at stock speeds!

'Should be quiet as anything' I doubt it.
But most likely quiet enough.

Back when I had air cooling I used a Samuel 7 cooler along with a Corsair sp120 fan.
Did the job well, quiet & cpu stayed below 70c when gaming.

That was with it overclocked to 4.5ghz so at stock I guess temps would have been even better.
