What have you done to your car today?

Milltek turbo back 3" with sports cat fitted. Then had final tweaks to the map. Finished up with 320bhp and 375lb/ft of torques. That's it for now. Not going to push any harder. The torque kicks in near 1000rpm earlier as well making it very usable and peak power is at 5K rpm. Feels very smooth and usable.

Oh and the exhaust is a little rortier than the stock japanese (with prodrive backbox) one that it had which had begun to whistle loudly on boost.

Very pleased with the result.

Ordered the original E46 M3 gear knob (illuminated) as I did like the illuminated part. It comes with the gaiter as one piece, although I've since learnt the F10 M5 knob (aka, the E46 Sport short weighted gear knob) is illuminated, and also comes as one piece, but you can tear off the bracket of the gaiter and glue the E46 one on giving you the illuminated short weighted knob.

Considering returning the E46 M3 one and ordering theF10 M5 one.

It's this one as documented by Mark on PH: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1287572

Although having previous hated the long horse dong design of the E46 M3 one, I do prefer the grip of the longer knob.

Decisions decisions.

Gave it a proper wash, clay, polish and wax (well, fusso99 soft coat sealant or whatever it is :p) for the winter, and stuck the hardtop on. Excuse the lens flair, this is straight from the potato camera just resized.

Dead impressed with the bilt hamber wheel cleaner I used for the first time as well, the wheels came up like new. Happy with how clean the car is too, not done a proper job like this for ages.

Wouldn't worry about waxing the top of an MX5 for winter, as much as undersealing and waxing the bottom! :p

Looks good though, as ever. :)

Sigworthy. :D

Watched the ABS, ESP, and parking brake failure warnings pop up today, whilst doing 70 down the M40, gave me a bit of a fright! Everything seems to be working ok though, I suspect a sensor. Phoning the garage tomorrow as it's booked in for a service next week anyway.
Citroen, 3 years old, 30,000 miles...

Had it undersealed last year, some of the suspension arms look a bit crusty but the subframes and body seem mostly fine thankfully :)

Urrgghhh was the first thing I binned, ZHP all the way! I did however miss the illuminated part so I butchered a zhp and added the innards from the 'long shaft' - best of both worlds :)

I'll give it a couple days to see how i get on with it. I prefer the grip on the longer one when my elbow is resting on the armrest, but much prefer the look and style of the ZHP one.

I can return it and order the F10 M5 one which is illuminated and comes with gaiter attached otherwise :p

Yeh the standard M3 gear knob was kinda rubbish - I've got no idea why someone would buy a new one. It's about the same price as the F10 one which is ZHP sized *and* illuminated. Best of both.

The integrated gaiter on the F10 one looks to be a thicker quality leather with pronounced stitching. I think I'll order that from BMW tomorrow and compare the two side by side, then keep the one I like most :p

So thats the BRZ gone.

Back to the Civic, need to get the tracking/geo sorted again, might actually invest in some audio now. Decat manifold and that's it for a while (he says).
