*** The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Thread ***

So I just called the exchange line after not getting any response to the email I sent the Samsung shop yesterday. I was told the options were:

1) Swap for an S7 Edge and refund the difference - full retail price, no discount.
2) Full refund on the Note 7, picked up tomorrow, processed in three working days.

I opted for option 2.
 
Back into CPW today and good news. They're loaning contract customers a S6 until their contract reversal's have gone through - I was told if I wanted either a Pixel XL or iPhone 7+ that I could keep the loan phone until they've got stock of the handset I want to upgrade to.

They were also happy to refund any accessories brought from them and said i could keep the VR.

edit: I should say they are also offering £100 off if you choose to swap for the S7 edge.

Looks like better customer service than Samsung themselves - lesson learned.

dayuuuum, you must live in OZ with that sort of service, free gear vr? refund on accessories, overly attached refund?

people should be sending their note7s to you for refund.

Same message I got, I am taking mine in tomorrow or Monday when I can next get to my local store, going with an S7 Edge.

Not quite as good as what you got offered - I tried to blag a straight swap for the iPhone 7+ but they couldn't do it. A free loan phone until my upgrade is reversed and new phone is in stock, plus the refund on accessories was much better than I was expecting.

No, they're just letting me keep the loan phone until they have stock of whatever I want. The only phone they're giving any deal on is the S7 edge, anything else is charged at the going rate.

I've had a quick look and on a similar tarriff to what I got with the Note, it will cost me around £5 per month more to go for the 128gb 7+.
 
The only thing im going to try and do additionally is when i got the Note 7 they were doing double data deals so 5GB went to 10GB, ive seen a nice 5GB deal but going to see if they'll double it like before.
