Yet another question. I can buy a used i5 3570 at 3.4Ghz with Msi 970, Corsair H105 cooler, OCZ 650 psu and 8G Ram for £450. Is this worth checking out or is the cpu too old? Would I notice a major improvement over my 9550? Do you reckon I could play BF1 on high at 1080p with this? Totally clueless about cpus and MBs so any guidance would be really appreciated.
Would like to upgrade for BF1 but would an Xbox S be better buy?

I would just go for a graphics card see how you go then get other bits later on.

Sold my Xbox one recently simply because I have invested in a PC. Can't see the point in it any more.

Think I would be giving anything OCZ a miss to be honest
I agree used to like consoles they was cheap to a point and the life cycle was fairly long but now they are going to keep doing these revisions I just don't see why people bother and the games accesories are really expensive.
I explain to people a good pc may cost £800-1000 compared to £400 for console but look at the game price differences and you get much more usage all round out of a pc not just gaming.
I can agree with that as I've owned both consoles back and forth over the years and always ended up selling them and lusting for another pc
only reason i keep a console is the fifa series as pc doesn't seem to have that many online players as xbox one or ps4 but thats it. Plus the shambles that is fifa 17 lately and my ps4 is untouched apart from watching youtube on it

Its laughable but it works for 1080p gaming around 45-60 with mostly ultra on BF1 if i change some of the settings

For now its fine - i have bought a 1070 gpu and i7 cpu just deciding on the rest as would really like an ultrawide monitor but for the one i want the acer predator X35 i think it is £1000 may just be a step too far but will see
