***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I just read through a huge document a guy made comparing all the manufacturers and who just re-brands who etc. Essentially, the "brand" just repackages from lots of suppliers so one set might be good and the next a bag of balls. It's a risk.

I dont think i'll be buying any full sets from these suppliers. I might just get some tubs of blocks kept seperately that i can use for internals.

Even my Bricklink'd Falcon cost about £600.

Confession time. I already have the SSD and Porsche.

SSD box is a bit flimsy but the Porsche box feels quality. Pieces look a little more shiny than Lego. SSD doesn't look like its all there but we'll find out soon enough.

I'm all for doing this on sets which I may have missed out on, but it will be disappointing if we start to see posts containing sets which are still being sold by Lego.

I see where you're coming from but retired Lego sets can still be built via Bricklink. I collected the bits for my Falcon over several months.

I would say either allow discussion on KO products or ban it altogether. I'm happy to go with either.

Doing the rounds on HotUKDeals at the moment is the 75105 Millennium Falcon set for £30 instore at Tesco Extra. I popped into a couple of local stores. One confirmed they'd had them but they'd all gone.

It seems that a few stores have them in, but you're lucky if they make it as far as the shelves. Staff snapping them up.

The check local stock page has been taken down from Tesco Direct because it couldn't keep up (Still £90 online).

They're not knock offs. The Chinese government doesn't allow counterfeit goods.

Perfectly legit!

I agree with the Chinese counterfeit stuff. But i really want the falcon and SSD but i am not paying over £1000 for it. Buying all the bricks for the falcon would easily be north of £1k now.

Mine didnt arrive today. Only cleared customs 30 mins ago. hopefully i see it before the weekend.

Don't get why? I'd like to know if I can save a few quid on a set that someone said was good quality.

Why ban it, no one cares when people discuss knock off phone accessories or say Yonguo flashes in photography which are the same. Chinese rip off reverse engineered from the canon flash.
