No Putin isn't daft enough, but clearly the US government still believes it can win with a first strike though, so I wouldn't put it past them at all.
Why else would the US surround Russia, Iran and china with military bases.
I don't think it is really about daft enough or not - the Russian upper hierarchy seem to be convinced that the US is slowly surrounding them with the aim of starving Russia out - there is potential there for them to be convinced its a lose-lose situation and strike first - which at face value increasingly their rhetoric is sounding like though it might just be for manipulation.

Some argue ww3 is already here - but it is a very different war from the previous 2 because it is more political and economical.

I agree. As the worlds population grows ever bigger we'll reach a tipping point where the battle for limited resources could trigger WW3. But I don't think it will happen in my lifetime, at least I hope not.

Another reason I dislike Putin is the fact he's basically changed things so he's going to be Russian president perpetually. Eventually people will want a change, whether it's some other megalomaniac who wants the throne or folks who want a proper democracy. The why is largely irrelevant. Neither will happen without bloodshed unless a miracle happens. What happens if Russia collapses in on itself (where the west, as usual, will be seen as the instigators)?
Happens in all countries with a single leader who refuses to stand down after a couple terms. Just looks at Syria, Libya, Iraq etc! None of those conflicts would have come to pass had the head of the country changed every 8 years or so. Each change opens the door to diplomatic and political change. You simply can't do business with a Hitler.
Say what you will about western democracy. It has flaws but it does engender a more stable country. Just have to look at the bitterness between democrats and republicans in the US. Can you imagine what would happen if one side took control and kept it with the same leader for 20+ years? Civil war!

Yeah sure we hear all the bad things in the media about those old leaders in those countries, and indeed they were almost certainly evil people, but no more evil than those in power in the western world --- also if you think democracy is real, hahahahahaha - no its not, in anyway, its all about giving the illusion of power to the population - trust me, the powerful families of the world, run the world.
Also in Lybia you used to get free health care - houses bought for new couples, if you were out of work the state paid you the equivilient wage for your area of work etc..........it also had massive gold reserves to back up its economy - hence why they didnt want to be paying tax to Rothschild - there is information as well it wanted to start an African wide gold backed economy and currrency which would rival US $ and Euro - all gold back currecy as well - as this goes against Rothschild and his pals - they got invaded, killed and the countries gold reserves are now in the USA.

Personally, I think there won't be a WWIII but more of an outbreak of public stupidness, riots etc. All protesting for the sake of protesting.
Further to that, the east keep sitting back relaxing reaping rewards from their oils and industry meanwhile we deal with the beheading bafoons.
Something will give, but ultimately, nothing more than an outbreak. People are dumb and bored at the moment, looking for an excuse to cause havoc. Take what BLM has become. It's lost all meaning and is simply an excuse for people to cause havoc...
Remember the idiots chaining them selfs to some wooden poles at London airport (or was it Luton?) because black people were more susceptible by 40% to breaking in toxic fumes than their white counterparts living in the same area. Absolute ****ing joke the lot of them.
Or the ever growing stupidness that is 'extreme feminism', like BLM, feminism is really losing it's true meaning and being thrown around by trigglypuffs claiming men are all pigs and mysoginistic blah blah blah. Oh, and only white men as any other race are the minority.

Oh my, you don't think if that was for a second true then they'd have used something like Lockerbie as a pretext for invading Libya? What trite. The US wanted nothing to do with Libya in the first days of the arab spring, it was a joint French/British enterprise.
The sanctions are directly linked to Russia's actions in Ukraine. End of. You're giving waaaay to much credit to your James Bond like super villains for masterminding all these world events.
More to the point I was talking about dictators and holding onto power too long. If my post is complete hogwash I take it you're therefore in favour of dictatorships and a single leader staying in power? But then you think we live in one so I think you may be a bit confused.
Also, our leaders just as evil? When was the last time you saw a western country bomb it's own populations after they became fed up with the same leader staying in power, the mass corruption and complete loss of civil liberties? When that starts happening then maybe I'll let you 'educate' me.

You can trace all world actions by western countries back to gold, money and oil, hell, Saddam Hussain was placed in charge of Iraq by the CIA (tons evidence for this), 40 years later they wanted him dead, so it happened.........regime change in the usa went through 10 presidents but it didnt change the long run masterplan.

You also never answered the question. Would you be happy to live in one of these paradise dictatorships where every newlywed couple were given a new house? I have friends who did business there btw, a lot of it was a dump - influential people were ok, everyone else stomped on and treated like crap.
Would you be happy that if you dissented in any way (like, for instance saying western governments are the source of all evil) you'd be severely punished or simply disappear?
I don't lay claim to western countries being virtuous by any means but this weird self loathing is odd. Particularly when other countries are actively doing what they seem to despise western countries for and yet... praise them for it! Hypocrisy really.
