Brand new PC - No signal through HDMI?

Hi everyone

Yesterday in the post I received a new PC from overclockers - this, with all

I plugged it in and it turned on and lit up so I know it's working. I haven't actually bought a new monitor yet so for now I was plugging it in to my TV which I've been plugging my laptop in to fine. But when I put the HDMI in to the new PC, there's just no signal and it's not detecting anything. I checked that everything is plugged in correctly but no success.

Does anybody have any idea what is happening here and how I can fix it? I'm not as technical with PCs as most of you so please talk in Lehman terms

Are you plugging into the HDMI on the graphics card or on the motherboard?

Needs to be plugged into the graphics card (the vertical slots on the right as shown in this pic)

Wow, it was as simple as that all along. Thanks a lot mate, got it working now!
