Hi all,

Last night I decided to download Corsair Link to use with my H80i cooler, the software seems a bit glitchy.

It has detected my Mobo temp as 113c :D. I would imagine that this is not the case. Other temps seem a little bit higher than other monitoring software but nothing as bad of that.

So, using the software I can enable a quiet cooling mode, but because mobo temp is so high it turns the 'mobo' fan to 2500rpm. So it starts to get quiet loud.

I couldn't see any option to remove any parts of hardware from monitoring.

What other software can I sensibly control fans with? My computer sounds quite loud under load, I have a feeling it is mostly the H80i rather than my GFX card.

You can set a custom fan curve and choose what temperature the fan is assigned to through Corsair Link?

I couldn't work out how to do it. Seemed a bit worrying that it is stating an unusually high temp for part of the MB though.

How good is your cooling?

Something like Hwmonitor might be able to confirm the temperature?

Cooling is pretty decent IMO.

All the other temps were normal.

Gfx around 33/35 at the time. CPU cores around similar. I checked the mobo temp out in BIOS and this was around 34.

I am not sure what the extra 113c one was for. It is listed as MB Temp 1?

If memory serves you can delete it?

You can configure a custom fan curve in the device properties, it's pretty simple.

You can also assign what the fan is linked to temperate wise as discussed. If you're having trouble, let me know and I'll take a look at my setup.

That is the overlay, I took the picture before setting it to quiet mode.

I have had a poke around and I couldn't see any option to remove parts of the PC from being monitored. Seems unusal?

Its annoying because the heat on the MB is so much i believe the fan ramped up so high.

Image is a little on the large side!

Click on the fan you think is ramping up. Under the 'configure' tab there should be a drop down menu for an item named 'group'. You can select what temperature this is assigned to, if it's MB Temp 1 or whatever, then you know this is why the fan is ramping up.

How are you controlling the fans? I don't believe Corsair Link can control fans direct connected to the motherboard headers. I use a Corsair Commander Mini to manage all my fans through CL.

Seems with the newer, garish version you can't remove devices. How stupid.

have you check to see if there is a firmware update for your H80i, because when i had my many year ago i had that problem and then for some unknown reason i got an firmware update and it sorted out the problem, it could be a software conflict, have you tired and use the asus software to see what temp it is giving. Also just a side note, make sure you dont have any other monitor software loaded, sometime corsair dont play nice with other software in the background.
