JLR have absolutely lost it in my opinion when it comes to interior finish and electronics. That F pace looks bloody awful, the infotainment screen, the instrument binnacle especially just look incredibly cheap and obviously Chinese sourced. The exterior styling I think is good and modern looking (bar my personal hatred of black wheels!). I just can't stand how cheap modern JLR interiors look.

A real shame as an old Range Rover fan to see how things are going.

I was actually going to say just the opposite! I think it looks pretty good, certainly modern. I don't know the rrp of these though... to me it reminds me of a RR Evoque.

EDIT: wow, the "first edition" is pretty pricey at >£60k

It's not Chinese sourced, maybe my pictures as it really does lift the interior and the maps with satellite view and pinch and zoom is pretty slick. Still the lower cabin plastics I agreed are sub standard for the segment.

Do you have similar concerns with the Range Rover products as to be fair the Jaguar stuff does start at a much lower price!?

It's a nice ambience in this spec Abu only really notice the plastics when getting in and out.

Some of the online reviews for the F-Pace also say the plastics feel a little cheap, but given this is going for the mummy taxi market that may be no bad thing. Key criteria is something easy to clean from mucky shoes in my experience.

After sitting in the F-Type that doesn't surprise me. Absolutely ****** quality plastics everywhere. They have literally lost the plot.

I think that F Pace looks pretty damn good. I've seen a couple in the flesh and its definitely something I would consider in the future.
