Anyone here with MSI GTX 1080 Aero OC?

Why pay more for less?

At same price the SUPERB MSI Armor

I have one. When air cooled was quiet even at 100% fan speed. While watercooled gets to 2190 core. :)

Otherwise bargain FE

I have no idea about the last one cooler thought

And a big lineup of KFA or others between £559 to £638

However take into consideration, ALL the 1080s except the Strixx are limited to 1.093v. All of them throttle from 32C while all of them will do 2100 at least on air (if cooler is good).

Only card that can do 2200 under water is the Strixx, however £890 for a 1080 is madness. Better spend more and buy the Titan P.

FYI, the difference between the £900 Strixx (Watercooled) at 2200 and any other watercooled 1080 at 2190 is 500pts on Firestrike. (~2%).

Hi

I would stay away from FE/reference designs if you don't plan watercooling it.

My friend uses MSI GTX1080 Armor, and according to his opinion, it runs very well. I was sceptical about it, as the cooler (from the images) looks crap. But he showed me his Afterburner logs.. Wow.

The Armor cooler is the same from Gaming series. Colours change only.
I have one and is a beast of 1080. (water cooler)
A visit at the Firestrike and Spy benchmarks (all 3) you will find having the highest graphics scores for 1080s :D

have on order a Gigabyte Turbo 1080 for next week, will be able to comment on it. Believe it follows in line with Asus Turbo card being blower design up uprated board. Not idea if your looking to watercool as wouldnt be reference design.
Not sure what It'll be listed price wise here but Im sure it'll be cheaper then Asus version and maybe in line with MSI's.
Fan opened at both ends so should be good in tight mATX sli spaces. Just hoping I can Hyrbid cool it like i did with asus/gigabytes last gen cards :D

How do you find it? Not seeing much feedback online about it...

Do you need a blower style card for any particular reason? If not, the other cards with lower prices like the HoF, Jetstream, and Gainward Golden Sample will cost less. These cards will generally give lower temps and less noise than the blower cards. At the expense of more hot air being blown around your case.

Actually the Aero OC is going pretty cheap on the web at the moment, which is one of the reasons I ask about it. I'd prefer a different aftermarket but looking at £100 more :o
